Privacy Policy for PDF Toolkit

AB Group Apps operates the PDF Toolkit mobile application. This page explains what information the App does and does not collect, and how it is used.

Summary

PDF Toolkit is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not require an account, we do not run our own servers, and we do not collect, store, or transmit the contents of your PDF files or photos. Every feature - viewing, scanning, merging, splitting, rotating/reordering pages, and annotating - processes your files locally on your phone. Files you create or open stay in your device's storage, or wherever you choose to save, export, or share them.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect or have access to:

•    The contents of any PDF file you open, create, or edit in the App

•    Photos captured through the Scan to PDF feature

•    Your name, email address, or any account information (the App has no

account or sign-in system)

•    Your location

Permissions the App requests, and why

•    Camera — Capturing photos for the "Scan to PDF" feature (Photos are processed on-device and never uploaded anywhere.)

•    Internet — Requesting and displaying ads (see Section 4) (The App does not use the internet to transmit your files.)

The App does not request broad storage/file access permissions. Opening, saving, and exporting files is done through the Android system file picker (Storage Access Framework), which lets you choose exactly which file or folder the App can read or write, rather than granting blanket storage access.

Advertising

The App is free to use and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device and advertising identifiers, general device information, and app usage data to serve ads and measure their performance, under Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Where required by law (for example, for users in the UK or European Economic Area), the App shows a consent form before requesting personalized ads, in line with Google's User Messaging Platform / consent management requirements.

You can review or reset your ad personalization choices for your device at any time through your device's Google Settings app (Settings > Google > Ads).

Data shared with third parties

The only third-party service integrated into the App is Google AdMob (described above). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third party. We do not have any analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs beyond what AdMob itself includes to serve and measure ads.

Data retention

Because the App does not collect file contents or personal information on any server we control, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. Files you create with the App remain on your device (or wherever you saved/shared them) until you delete them yourself. A short local list of recently used file names is kept only on your device (not sent anywhere) so you can quickly reopen recent files; you can clear this by clearing the App's storage/cache in your device's App settings.

Children's privacy

PDF Toolkit is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.

Your rights

Since we do not collect personal data on our own servers, most data-access, correction, or deletion requests are things you already control directly on your device (for example, uninstalling the App removes all its local data). For anything related to AdMob's data collection, see Google's privacy policy linked in Section 4, which describes your choices and rights regarding ad personalization.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App's features or in applicable law. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
